AMZ INSIDERS: Sales & Pace Tracker is built on a strict zero-telemetry, local-only architecture. Your orders, sales volume, pricing, customer information, and seller credentials never leave your browser.

CORE PURPOSE

Single Purpose Statement

AMZ INSIDERS calculates real-time sales pacing, hourly unit velocity curves, estimated gross sales revenue comparisons, and parent-family variation totals from Amazon Seller Central Manage Orders and Manage All Inventory pages.

100% Local On-Device Storage

All scanned order numbers, quantities, displayed prices, ASINs, SKUs, product titles, listing status, fulfillment type, and parent-child catalogue relationships are stored exclusively in your browser's local sandbox (chrome.storage.local). Order summaries are kept for a rolling 30-day window strictly for sales pacing analysis and are automatically pruned. No data is ever transmitted to a database or external backend.

Zero Telemetry & No Remote Tracking

AMZ INSIDERS contains no analytics libraries (e.g. Google Analytics, Mixpanel), no advertising trackers, and no remote error logging. We have zero visibility into your seller accounts, store revenues, ASIN listings, or sales velocity.

No PII or Buyer Data Collection

The extension explicitly filters out and ignores all customer Personally Identifiable Information (PII), including buyer names, delivery addresses, telephone numbers, and payment details. It processes only numerical quantities, order timestamps, and item price figures.

CHROME PERMISSIONS

Permissions Rationale

Every permission requested in manifest.json is strictly limited to core on-page functionality:

storage

Stores aggregated order statistics, the locally fetched product catalogue, parent-family mappings, user preferences, and local cache within the browser sandbox without remote transmission.

unlimitedStorage

Gives high-volume sellers enough local browser capacity to retain the promised rolling 30-day order history. This permission does not transmit, synchronize, or remotely back up order information.

activeTab & tabs

Allows the extension to read visible orders on the active Amazon Seller Central tab and manage temporary background tabs during user-initiated order or inventory scans, with automatic tab cleanup upon completion.

scripting

Injects the order DOM parser and the in-page floating HUD on open Manage Orders pages upon explicit user request.

alarms

Refreshes the local extension badge and comparison cutoff information while allowing the background worker to sleep between events.

Host Permissions (*://sellercentral.amazon.*/*)

Required solely to read order rows and the product catalogue on Amazon Seller Central Manage Orders and Manage All Inventory routes across international marketplaces (US, UK, DE, FR, IT, ES, CA, JP, AU, etc.).

Data Deletion & User Control

You maintain complete control over your data at all times:

Instant Clear: Click the “Clear” button in the extension popup to immediately purge all cached orders and pacing metrics for the current seller account.
Uninstalling the Extension: Removing AMZ INSIDERS from Google Chrome completely and permanently erases all extension storage from your hard drive immediately.
No Remote Residuals: Because no data is stored on remote servers, no residual records exist to delete following local clearance.

Data Use & Developer Certifications

We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade user data to any third party under any circumstances.
We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension's stated single purpose.
We do not use or transfer user data to evaluate creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
We do not use remote code; all logic is fully contained within the packaged extension archive.
